Mediation

Mediation is an informal, voluntary, and confidential process in which the parties resolve their family law issues outside of court, with the assistance of a qualified mediator.  Mediation is very different from court in that mediated resolutions can only come about by mutual agreement of the parties; in this way, mediation removes the emotional toll and risk of a trial, while allowing the parties to manage, and ultimately determine the outcome of, their family law matter.

Mediation is almost always less expensive, less emotionally draining, and less time-consuming than trying cases in court.

While mediation is not appropriate in every case, we are proud to offer mediation services as an alternative to traditional family law litigation.  To learn more about mediation, including the different varieties of mediation offered by the attorneys at Collins Berman, P.C., please follow this link.
